We have lots of other exciting news such as the upcoming alpha release of STAR ODK and much more such as the release of the new Web4 OASIS API (v3.4.0), which serves as the interoperable data aggregation & identity layer. We also have a whole new API called Web5 STAR API (17 new sub- API's) forming the gamification/business/metaverse layer which will also be released around the same time as the STAR ODK. As if this wasn't enough there will also soon be a playable demo of Our World built on top of the OASIS API & STAR API.
WEB4 OASIS API made all of WEB2 and WEB3 interoperable at the data layer whereas WEB5 STAR ODK makes everything else interoperable at the app, business, lib, runtime, template, metaverse, package store layer as well as gamifying everything.
LATEST STAR ODK UPDATE:
Lib parsers will implement a new star interface we will create that allow STAR to parse a custom lib in any language such as js, rust, c, c++ etc and then generate a proxy wrapper around it allowing c# to call into any of the public functions in the lib thus making all the libs interoperable in any language, stack etc. Same thing can be done with runtimes and even templates if needed.
We will also allow external libs, templates, runtimes etc from the web and other package stores such as Nuget, NPM, Cargo etc to be linked and wrapped in a STARNET Lib/runtime/template so they also appear in STARNET without taking up any space so will save on storage costs, etc. It just stores a pointer or link in the respective DNA json file.
The goal of this is to make everything fully interoperable at a level never seen before removing walled gardens and silos unleashing peoples creativity and allowing unique combination of apps, libs, runtimes, templates etc to be created that were not possible before! Plus all of this is gamified and metaverse ready and will appear in both the OASIS interoperable Omniverse (digital twin of the Omniverse) (VR optional), Our World Geo-Location AR Game and One World MMORPG all forming the game of life. So people can use a lib from say NuGet with a template from Cargo and a runtime from NPM!
Sub-templates, libs & runtimes can be added to ANY STARNET object/holon such as OAPP, OAPP Template, Holon, Zome, Celestial Body, Celestial Space, Mission, Quest, Chapter, InventoryItem, GeoNFT, NFT etc allowing unique combinations to be created just like lego where anything can be plugged into something else. It also allows for infinite recursion so you can have as many sub-templates, libs & runtimes as you like nested inside each other!
